Pillow is a new string ensemble, performing the dark and melancholic compositions of James Osler. The music captures the richness of a classic tone, whilst retaining the freedom of improvisation and the simplistic storytelling of folk like melodies. Sighting influences by artists such as Nick Drake, Clause Debussy, Erik Satie, Max Richter and Bill Frisell, James embarks on telling his own story through the voice-like tones of the violin, viola and cello.
